WordPress just announced the availability of the first release candidate (RC1) for WordPress 3.0. Main new features in WordPress 3.0 (ip-192.com reported here) include multi-domain and multi-site management from a single installation of the content management system (CMS), a streamlined administration menu, and the ability to add custom menus.

Following the successful post-WordCamp San Francisco code sprint, Wodpress team are ready to release the second beta of WordPress 3.0.
